Hi, Lovely peeps, have just watched the second part of The State Within...damn it was gritty and very good...but there was an execution in it of somebody on death row and it was gut wrenching...I'll never understand a supposedly civilised country like the USA retaining the death penalty, it's utterly barbaric, and undoable if the person proves later to be innocent, which this character was. William Haig was on Start the Week yesterday and he admitted that he voted for its resumption here at the last vote on it...I never liked him, but now I just feel total contempt for him...Rough Justice proved how many cases there were and still are of people locked up for crimes they didn't commit in our prisons, and many would be dead now if the death penalty existed. I'm still feeling scrunched up inside after watching even a fictional death...it was so well acted as well, which made it more real...hmmm...now I'm just trying to unwind and stop feeling so angry that it still exists around the world.
This wasn't a very good day head wise...I got more than angry with Virgin Media again...and it annoys the hell out me that I can't distance myself from their continual ineffeciency. I just want it resolved once and for all and to put this fiasco behind me but it just won't come to an end...I really really thought it had when they finally got around to taking the damned equipment away, but no..stupid me, nothing at all is functioning there anymore so why should I have believed that... I'll stop now because I'm getting angry all over again...:**:
Well, now that I've let off steam, I'm going to watch NCIS at 11 and then go to bed with Terry Pratchett...hope you all have a restful night, sweet dreams and I send you all big hugs, and promise not to bend your ears tomorrow...
