Hi to everybody...it's pouring with rain, grey and very dreary...checked my bank account today and discovered Virgin Media are still overcharging me for my package...two months now I've been told it's been corrected, and nothing at all has been done to change one single iota...as a company it's truly unbelievable for its inefficiency...had I known when I was phoned up to find out whether my phone line had been sorted that they still hadn't sorted out the charges I would have asked the person to see to that as well, but was assured on the phone by another that I was definitely on the £13.50 package which included the telephone...have now phoned up again and was once again assured it would be sorted and I've emailed them as well because one call certainly achieves nothing....
I want to remain calm now so will say nothing more...
Hope you have a good day, and send you all big hugs for now...Hope the big blog meet goes well too...lots of people attending it so should be a real experience...

Well this is why I'm trying naming and shaming here...hopefully they might pick up on it and try to sort out their customer services...Richard Branson should hang his head in shame at the way Virgin Media customers are dealt with and what stress they're put through just to get what they're entitled to....it's disgraceful...I don't know whether it's his company who's just hiked up rail fares again, but that's another example of a seriously bad business practice...hope you have a great time tonight as well at the blog meet...big hugs...

Hi Jen -the best way to deal with this is to put it in writing detailing eveything that has been said and send to someone in authority, don't waste your time with phone calls but always get a name if you do and ask to speak to a manager-go to the top -try the MD or Chief exec by law you are entitled to know the address to send it and if you mark the envelope Chief Exec 'Confidential and Personal' then even without the persons name no-one else including the secretary or pa is allowed to open it. I have heard so much about Virign that is not good I will never use them -I complain about BT but at least they are fairly reliable

Yes, we did this before with the complaints department when we trying to get our digital box collected and our refund, but, if nothing is sorted by Monday, a letter is going off to the Head Office...and I have no choice but to use Virgin...big hugs...

I agree with WendyLane when I'm having to deal with our own horror story. I keep going up the ladder, until I get someone who has some authority and I follow it up with a paper trail.
Tell them customer service really should be the name of the game and as soon as you have an option you are switching since they give such lousy service. That makes bosses heads turn slightly at least. Ah... they do not like dealing with we menopausal Red Hat Mamas!

You might also consider sending a follow-up letter, stating the date, time and person you spoke to, and what was said--and also requesting a full refund or credit for the overcharges. It's too bad the UK doesn't have an agency one can make complaints to. Where I live, one can go either to the state's attorney general, or to the public service commission.

Yes, we'll consider that from Monday...but of course they'll no doubt ring while we're out shopping...we do have complaints departments to send them...there used to be a Consumer's Complaints Board but think that died a death sometime back now...don't actually know who we can complain to outside of any companies now...we've got the refund back for two months but we're still charged £37 for the first month and £33 for the second and now £24 for the third so it's going down but no where near where it should be
So far we've only had £18 or something like that back...but we'll see ...all these things are sent to try us...and that's a load of bollocks...HLOL...just human inefficiency nothing more nothing less...but doesn't half drive you up the wall...big hugs..

Its a shame that there isn't another option for you to change to. I guess thats why they're treating you so badly - they know they can more or less get away with it!
