Hi to one and all...woke up to a lovely sunny day and only one trip out of bed at the usual hour of 3.40 or thereabouts then went back to sleep until 8, had my pill for my stomach and then got up at 9 because we were going shopping in Poole this morning...we were shocked to discover that the red bus company has changed the bus timetable...now there are no buses in the evening after 5.30 in the evening...can you believe it!! So, if we want to go into Poole in the evening after that time we have to take a taxi there and back...and this is the way our council deals with getting people out of their cars and into using public transport??? What a damned farce...deep deep sighs...this world is frigging nuts! How dare they talk about carbon emission and then have a public transport service that is worthy of a developing country rather than a very wealthy country, which we still are. It's actually getting worse by the week now. The timetables change and we suddenly find ourself with a bus route wiped out altogether or changed and we didn't know it. Anyway, we managed to catch the new bus or rather the old damned bus that is now a new number and it was packed to the brim with people standing. I got on and a young mother whose baby was lying right across one of the pull down seats sound asleep picked him up and put him on her lap and let me sit down because my back certainly couldn't have stood being ricocheted around the bus, which was happening as the driver drove on the brake and very fast round corners...I got some dirty looks from some of the more elderly women standing but, in the end, I have to say I don't damn well give a toss what they think, my back is fragile and that's the end of it...as it was even sitting down my back was jerked around and when I got off it was nearly ten minutes before the rod settled down again to being just there and not as stiff as a board.
One thing also really peeved me. I've been a customer at the Body Shop now for about 37 years...I've bought my cucumber cleansing milk there for all those years and never found a better cleanser for my skin, which tends to be allergic to a heck of a lot of things in other cleansers. L'Oreal bought out The Body Shop much to my disgust with Anita Roddick because that to me was a real sell out, but hoped that things wouldn't change too much. I was wrong...I went in this morning to buy my new supply of the cleanser and was told 'very sorry, they don't do it any more. It's one they decided to phase out as it had been going for years...and there were no toners and some other waste of money to go with it and so they've ceased making it! It was the Body Shop's primary seller and the cleanser she created in her kitchen and sold by mail order and which I started buying from its first foray into the beauty market and they've stopped selling it I was told by a very apologetic and very nice young woman! Damn them. I was told by a different young woman who was a cheeky, spotty little twit behind the counter that it was nothing to do with L'Oreal, they just decided to stop it because there were others now selling better with toners and facial washes to go with them...I want to smack her silly overly made up face for her audacity...I bought another one with Aloes for Sensitive skins (a pound dearer and 200ml instead of 250ml) because I wasn't sure whether I'd find any more elsewhere and decided there and then that's my last visit to the damned Body Shop.
Came home and found four bottles for sale on ebay, and none anywhere else so I guess all the people who have used it for years have bought up all the remaining supplies...why can't anything stay the same if it works, and people like it? Phew...loud curses resounding round room, and I'll stop now :)
Have a good afternoon, my friends, sorry for this big ear bender but this is very, very annoying...not the end of the world, but annoying in both cases...so big hugs to you all while I go away and try and get my head together all over again...HLOL...
