Hi to everybody...after all that...we lost...our horse never came in the first four!!! HLOL...first time betting...last time betting....hmmm...odd isn't it...Amberley was the one that came in first and I didn't put a bet on it...and it was the name of the road we lived in when I was really really unhappy...this time it was the name of our son, and it came nowhere...bugger!

I've never won anything except a darned budgie who we called Lucky and ended up on his back stiff as a board with his feet up in the air a few weeks later so he wasn't lucky either...HLOL...poor little thing...as this was our one and only we made it £20 so kissed that goodbye...

HLOL...I only remembered the race was on because we bought the paper and I spotted our son's name listed amongst the horses and thought oh, worth a shot...tut tut...silly me...
Oh, well, never mind didn't break the bank...I think I've got the kiss of doom on any horse I bet on...is that why you won't bet on any? HLOL...big hugs... -

Your selection did'nt finish in 5th place did it , as some bookmakers were offering 1-2-3-4-5 each - way .
The 'national is less of a 'lottery' than it used to be , and , I'm a bit annoyed with myself for siding against the very well-backed winning 2nd favourite .
But it's seldom been a lucky race for me , and I knew that I'd be better off avoiding it , but I can't resist looking at the runners and riders , then arriving at a tentative conclusion .

I've never been a big gambler, but I have an online account and put the odd £1 bet here and there (yes, I like to live it large!).
I was advised by a seasoned pro (in the horse racing world) to just play the favourites. So I backed the top ten horses each way at £50, which cost me a total of £10. I made a returned of £16.40 so secured a profit of six quid plus.
I'm considering retiring to the Cayman Islands as a tax exile.

Oh, boy, sweet thing, you'll get really rich on that...HLOL...I don't like gambling because I don't like losing, and a natural gambler I would have thought wouldn't be too put out if they lost every now and then....I hate it...mainly because it's throwing money away which is something I've never done and don't intend to start now...

Hi Jen, picked out 4 horses, best that I got was one of them came in 7th, it's the only bet that I have each year because the race is long enough to sit back and watch.
Both the horses and the jockeys are heroes.-
