Hi to everybody...had a good sleep and woke up to brilliant sunshine, listened to Melvyn Bragg's prog on the brain through history, then got up and intended to go for the paper. Hubby had to go to pick up some of his prescriptions so was already dressed and ready to go way before me...suggested he pick up some nic patches for me for the weekend instead of smoking...last time I used them I had an immediate allergic reaction but thought it might be worth another try...hmmm...he phoned me and told me they cost over £14 for seven!!! Damn! I'll smoke...HLOL...was going to walk round and meet him at the paper shop but there's a darned gale blowing out there, so decided against that...he's just arrived home so I'll sit in the garden instead for a while...well, if I don't get blown out of it...
Nothing more to add now so will send you all great big hugs and hope the sun is shining for you and that there's no wind...

Oh, yes, excellent - cost a bloody arm and a leg to do it...I heard some dickhead say that it wouldn't be sensible to make it cheap because it wouldn't be an incentive to keep going having paid out so much...WHAT!! What bloody stupid idiot thought that up...I'd use alternatives if I didn't react to at least two of them and don't fancy snorting nicotine
which is the other alternative...mad mad world this...no wonder so many junkies can't break their habits if their treatments are so poorly thought out...the nearest Give up smoking help group is a bus ride away from me and in the evening, and we don't have any buses in the evening?? Very strange logic indeed. I don't believe the Government want people to give up anyway. They'd lose out on too much revenue!

That's the truth of the matter I think...the revenue used to pay for a large part of the National Health bill...LOL...probably less so now but still a great loss if stopped altogether...great big hugs...X

Well, I can guarantee you that if we all gave up smoking today, obesity and depression would increase to the same point that the alleged lung cancer rates have through smoking in less than five years...just new ways to kill ourselves quicker...
And the NHS would have to find another rapid quick source of revenue...watch your taxes... great big hugs..XX -
