Hi to everybody...huh, better late than never...haven't been able to do a post because there was a big glitch...blog was reduced to basic...and couldn't write anything either...luvverly...but back again now, thank goodness...
Cold day today so stayed in and checked out my Lulu site where I have my two books and discovered...shock...horror...that they were not what I expected at all...my sis-in-law asked to get a copy of one for her so I bought both because thought I should check it out...my Office Word is so old that it can't be adapted for PDF format and that's a real big problem on these publishing sites...they do it for you but if your format isn't compatible, they just print it out as a large book...now I'm having to update my Office rapido if I want to get my books into any semblance of order and ready for publishing properly...
I spent most of the day struggling to try to get my darned old Office to do what I wanted and did succeed more or less in the end, but can't get my Acrobat PDF creator to recognize the format...hmmm...never mind...will sort it out when my new Office arrives...
Also decided to try to complete the last Age of my game and I did it...LOL...still a little bit more to do to end it, but nearly there...and the rest of the new set of Myst games arrived this morning...that's pretty good timing...mind you...I've just remembered, I've got two more additional parts to play on URU so will still be boring you all with my screams of frustration...![]()
That's it for now...great big beautiful full moon tonight...thought I'd take a pic and all I got was a round spot in the sky and none of the delicate clouds around it...and then decided to try through the glass and got a weird pic...turned out the glass had simply reflected back to me my hands holding the camera in a blurred image...HLOL...not at all what I wanted...so that's definitely it for now...approaching bed time in an hour or so...no stomach aches this morning or all day so that's good news...off to see the doc tomorrow morning and get my arm sorted...hope you all had a good day...one very sad piece of news...our little blue tits seem to have abandoned their chicks and we can see about six little featherless chicks cheeping away with open mouths still and clearly ravenous and we can't do a thing about it..the RSPB says even if they rescued them, at that age, they die...it's heartbreaking to hear them...doubt if we will tomorrow...they haven't been fed now for over twenty four hours...one of the parents could have been got by a cat or they can't find enough food...they are a bit late nesting...anyway....hope you all have a restful night, sweet dreams and great big hugs to one and all...

I had the same problems during the "hiccup" but strangely my alter-ego was unaffected.
Weird or what? -

I managed to post comments during the glitch. It looked really weird.
What a shame about the little chicklets. Bless.-

Those little ones dying really got to me...there had to be at least six in the nest and seeing their little open mouths all trying to reach the hole for food just gutted me...and they cheeped all day hoping for food...can't go through that again...the nest box is just too near the house, so you could actually hear them all day...it wasn't the nearness I'm sure which drove the parents away...they hadn't minded for nearly a fortnight...we think a blasted cat must have got one of them, or they simply ran out of food...they were about two weeks late starting so the moth caterpillars would have gone by now...probably new parents...very, very sad...great big hugs...

Yeah, that would have gotten to me as well. We have a starling nest in the lock up and when Mum or Dad come back with food, the noise they make it incredible! I can't imagine what they must sound like when they are really hungry.
I don't think they mind being near - sounds to me like something happened to the parents.
Unfortunately, that is nature.

I am having problems getting my book published. In that I'm doing everything possible not to sit down and finish writing it. The creativity seems to have got bunged up but I sense an outpouring is just over the horizon

Well, you work as well, so, no doubt, you're tired...I think it's very difficult to write and work full time as well as taking care of a family...in some respects it's best not to think in terms of publishing it, but simply to do it for yourself...I know that's hard...I've written about nine or ten in all and most I've never tried to get published...only one seriously and that went through three rewrites and the editor still wanted changes made...I stopped then because I'd got three different stories by then and knew I'd never please her...when you relax about it, I'm sure you're creative juices will start flowing again...LOL...great big hugs...XX

Thanks hun. I've resigned myself to the fact that it will be finished when its finished. But I would like to crack it before the end of the year. Maybe over the summer ...
