Hi to everybody...good night, but woke up to a bad stomach again...didn't take a Gavilast before I went to bed after the night before waking up with no discomfort...that'll teach me...LOL...over confidant...
Raining heavily then stopped and dry now but so damned dreary...grey, grey, grey...so boring...hubby's back to work tonight so break over...his chest hasn't got a serious infection..just a mild one so that's good news...on his antibiotics now but I've decided to wait before starting mine, mostly because it says don't take with indigestion remedies which is what my regular medication is??? Not sure how to get four antibiotics in and take my pill for my stomach...hmmm....oh, well...my wheeze comes and goes..
Hubby had a fun trip to the docs...got there and had his check up then came out and went to the chemist for the prescriptions...didn't notice the chemist had given the wrong sort to me...I need capsules because I'm allergic to the coating on the tablets...then got all the way down the road to the bus stop and realised he'd left his glasses in the doc's room...walks all the way back only to be told by Mrs Jobsworth behind the desk that he'll have to wait until the other patient has finished with the doc...another twenty minutes he has to sit before he can get them! Gets home and is so flustered and angry both with the disastrous morning and because he has now checked my medicines and hit the ceiling...I phoned up chemist and told them what happened to him and they said not to worry they'd deliver the replacements and collect the wrong ones from me in the afternoon, which they did...so at least he didn't have to walk the two miles back to the docs and home again...the buses are so erratic that's it's impossible to catch one to the surgery in time for any appointment...
So, that's my news for today...so exciting isn't it...
Now, I've checked out my three new games and am disappointed to discover there's no avatar in these and they look exceedingly dated now because made for Win95/98 and have been updated to play in WinXP but only in a low resolution still...hate games where there's only a finger pointing in the direction you want to go, and I haven't got the games in the right order either as they're an ongoing story...the one I played was the latest and much better graphics all round...hmmm...will have to decide whether I'm going to bother with them...that's it for now...hope you're having better weather than we are...I give up on Spring, just hoping Summer doesn't let us down again...have a good day and great big hugs to one and all....

I'm on it...second lot and does work but once I stop it, the symptoms return...the doc reckoned I might have to take it permanently...I want to know why this damned thing suddenly started...have not had this before...Have you had to take it for a long time if you don't mind answering that?...great big hugs..

Er... I started getting symptoms around 2000 I think. For a while I was just doing what most people did taking over the counter stuff all the time. Then when I went to the states in 2003 my ex's mum got me a load of the stuff before it was available here. So about about 5 years. I take it less regularly now though. In fact it's been months since I last took it although I do get the odd twinge. (Like just now, coincidentally enough) You may have the same luck.

I wonder whether it runs in families...my father had a duodenal ulcer which, at one point he did have removed just before it ruptured, but always had trouble with his stomach most of his life...hmmm...just one more rotten thing I inherited from my parents...mind you, I do blame them...my father was six and a half stone when I was conceived after being in a prisoner of war camp for five years and in bad health and hadn't been home more than two or three weeks at the most...personally I'd have advised my mother to wait until he was at least fit!!..great big hugs...

Yes, they're very nice...Pakistani or Indian chemist and his wife run it...no hesitation just said they'd deliver it, which was such a relief...great big hugs..

I may be writing something completely stupid and ignorant but it doesn't usually stop me, so, have you thought about asking your doctor about Omeprazole? I have acid reflux and it works very well.
