Hi to everybody...woke up from a dream filled night, but no bad ones and can't remember any...LOL...sunny with a some clouds so decided to go down to the sea and do our walk between the two piers again...when we got outside, we discovered there was a pretty chilly breeze so grabbed our jackets and I'm darned glad we did because I'd got a thin dress on for a change thinking it would be as warm as yesterday....it wasn't...yesterday was 70 degrees, down at the sea today it was only 63 degrees...just never know what to wear anymore...but, having said that, we had a pleasant walk from Bournemouth to Boscombe. Unfortunately, we missed the bus home at 12.20 by five mins so decided to take a bus back to Bournemouth and then another bus from there back home, which worked out well...altogether we ended up taking four different buses to get there and back and Bournemouth is only three miles away...LOL...hmmm...saw a lot of estates I'd never seen before on the way there as we took a new bus to Ashleigh Road then caught another bus into Bournemouth...
Now, hubby's vacuumed the hallway, kitchen and conservatory and I'm about to wash the floor in the latter two...
Work never ends...
Just caught up with my emails and read some posts, and am just about to post this off then it's mopping floors....
Hope you're having a good Monday morning, and, if not, hope the day will improve...great big hugs to one and all in the meantime...

End of the day
@ 29.06.2008 – 23:56:58
Hi to everybody...just to remind you when you visit my site to click on my message in my header...it can save lives...it got removed when BCUK started to create the new Web design wizard and now I've switched over I've been able to restore it...
Also, with nothing on TV until 9 tonight, I decided to try to finish Session 9 which I gave up on last night after forty-five mins of nothing happening...if I'd waited another five, all the action started...HLOL...as Denzil said it would even though he'd never seen it...well damn it, it had to start sometime...still worth 2 stars in my opinion, but I saw it to the end...bit of a daft twist at the end but there we go...
Hoping for sun tomorrow and we can go down to the sea or out somewhere else...who knows? The world is our oyster if the weather is fine...forecast's a bit iffy but what's new....LOL...
Had a lovely relaxed day today and went shopping in the afternoon...nice shopping...got myself a new handbag as my old one finally gave up the ghost, and a new purse, hubby got a new wallet, and me a new small frying pan...
That was amongst the general needs as my old one had also given up the ghost...combined it with a quick trip further down the road to Lidl's and got hubby five more tshirts and some food items then it was home again and time to cook dinner....
Found a really good puzzle game called Bloxorz, which I'm in the middle of playing when I run out of things to do and want to stretch the brain cells...
And that's it for now, my lovely friends, hope you've had a good weekend, will have a restful night and sweet dreams and I send great big hugs to one and all...

Second day
@ 29.06.2008 – 10:09:01
Hi to everybody...had a good night and woke up to warm but cloudy and the sun trying to break through now...changed over my blog last night to the new wizard design...and I would say I was happy once I got my head around how to make the alterations and Felix helped me too...so not half as painful as I thought it would be...off to have a bubble bath now and then my coconut oil massage by hubby then the day is ours to do with whatever we want...
The Session 9 film last night I was expecting so much from with five stars was boring to the point of comatose inducing...forty minutes in and absolutely nothing had happened except five men talking and walking through an old insane asylum about to remove the asbestos tiles...Damn it was bad...can't recommend it at all...
Gave it as a bad job forty-five minutes in and still nothing had happened...hmmm....somebody's finger must have slipped when they hit the star key...
Have a lovely rest of the weekend and great big hugs to one and all.... -
Doctor WHO?? (Warning Spoiler)
@ 28.06.2008 – 20:04:02
Hi to everybody...ooooer...did anybody watching Doctor Who just now see what I think we saw? Oh, darn it...has this been the best kept secret? Are we about to meet the new Doctor Who? Oh, bum...I really, really like David Tennant, but cannot see him regenerating as himself surely...and it would be just the thing Rose is about to be reunited with him and boom, the old Doc gets it...hmmm....damn...that wasn't expected...LOL...
That's it...just wanted to find out if anybody know something I didn't know...have a good rest of the evening and great big hugs to one and all... -
First day
@ 28.06.2008 – 18:49:10
Hi to everybody...better late than never...HLOL...have been busy trying to sort out my glitching blog and answering mail and posts then realized I hadn't done my own today...
Gorgeous day now...got up this morning to clouds and sun and a lot of wind. Blew round for the bus in the afternoon, because the morning disappeared, but, when we arrived in Poole, the clouds disappeared and it was a clear blue sky, no wind and very warm...Poole was packed but managed to get round to do the shopping and caught the four o'clock bus home and then had pork burghers with fried onions and mushrooms in rolls for dinner as they're quick to do and very tasty...do like burghers occasionally but not beef burghers...pork or lamb we have bought from the farmer's market stall...they're delicious...
Waiting now for Doctor Who to start then seeing Session 9 a five star sci-fi film, which we can watch on TV at nine or whenever we want to because I also recorded it last night...have no idea what it will be like but five stars isn't dished out usually so expecting a lot...
So, my friends, this is the first day of hubby's hols and a lovely start...let's hope it continues....hope you all have a good weekend and send great big hugs to one and all.... -
Annoyed
@ 27.06.2008 – 19:37:54
Hi to everybody....has anybody here tried to change their blog's appearance recently? I tried today as I usually do once a week, and discovered that Style is no longer working...as we've been told by BCUK that we can still use it that seems not to be the case...don't want to be forced into using the new one, which sounds as if it's still very much in the experimental stage...If I click on General, Heading, centre column, or left column...I get nothing anymore in the old web design facility...really hoped this is going to be fixed soon as a promise is a promise and it's no use telling us we can keep the old one if it's now defunct...can't use the HTML facility on it anymore and can't change anything in blog description so a bit peeved at the moment...
Great big hugs to one and all... -

It's raining....
@ 27.06.2008 – 12:20:54
Hi to everybody...had a good night and woke up to clouds and no sun and now it's raining...LOL...perfect near end to June...walked round for the paper in the dry but realized there are so few insects around it's quite alarming...I saw no queen wasps at all this year and they usually arrive in the Spring and I chase them out of the house...there are barely any butterflies this year either and bees are so few and far between as to be a surprise when we see any...also we have a bush in our garden and out the front with white flowers on it and beautiful luminescent green backed beetles arrive in swarms to feed off them normally...this year there were only a handful and ladybirds are no where to be seen...if this continues, this country is going to be in real trouble because these are the pollinators of next year's growth and without it, I hate to think where we'll be in a few year's time....the changing seasons have had a huge effect on the insect population...and come to think of it...no spiders around either...normally when I walk down the garden in the morning, spider's webs used to be across the bushes and I would have to clear them away just to get to the end...there's none this year...hmmm...very worrying....
On that gloomy note, I'll wish you all a good day and hope you're having some sun...and send you great big hugs in the meantime... -

Lovely but windy day
@ 26.06.2008 – 12:52:10
Hi to everybody...overslept this morning and missed Melvyn Bragg's In our Time...darn it...slept well though so must have needed it...woke to a beautiful sunny but windy day. Didn't have breakfast till 10.40! Bad...must try to get up earlier, but hubby needed extra sleep so he gained from it...went round for the paper and blew there and back...LOL...but still it's a lovely day for a change...
When we came back, I had a coffee and then dug out all the damn seed the birds had thrown out and had grown into the gravel underneath the ceonothus tree where the seed containers hang...filled a large shopping bag! Real pain in the butt...also tried Jack's idea of trying to blend the large seeds they were chucking out and, would you believe it, they are so hard, the really sharp blade of my food mixer didn't have any impact at all on them, but just ground the small seeds to near dust...so that didn't work...we're going to take the 20 kilo bag back and exchange it for two bags of the small bird seed...should have stuck with that from the start. It's obvious there's a glut of this large seed and all the supermarkets are selling them off cheap...it would be fine if you were feeding large woodland birds, but we don't get them around here so useless...
So that's been our morning...my tree has still got a remnant of seed left, which I can't get up but hopefully it won't grow as I've covered it up with a new load of gravel...hope you've got some sun and will have a good day...great big hugs to one and all for now.... -

Speedy gonzales again...
@ 25.06.2008 – 10:11:19
Hi to everybody...had a good night apart from one interruption at four when I needed to take a darn Gavilast...my stomach's playing up a bit over the last two or three days...got a bit bad about keeping regular eating times so paying for it I think...it's clouds and sun and a warm strong wind today...went outside to water my false acacia tree which I do everyday in the summer as it's in a pot so really a huge bonsai and went round the side of the conservatory to turn on the outside tap and fell over the watering can...most annoying..HLOL...only a foot to stumble around in and it's got bags of spare gravel and earth making it even smaller...no damn room in this pocket handkerchief of a garden...
I didn't actually fall over thank goodness but nearly did...and I was still in my night gear and my next door neighbour I discovered was hanging up her washing so must have heard me yelling at the watering can to get out of the way...HLOL...hmmm...the dulcet tones of the Hunters...
Still have to get dressed but just letting my breakfast settle then round for the paper, a bit of vacuuming when we get back and the rest of the day is pretty much as normal...hubby sleep all afternoon while I do my own thing...
That's it for now, my friends, BCUK is back up to full speed here and I'm whizzing around it happily now...
Have a good day, hope you get some sun and I send great big hugs to you all...

Thanks...
@ 24.06.2008 – 23:30:36
Hi to everybody...many thanks for all your assurances that BCUK's working fine for you...HLOL...I know it's definitely very, very slow for me at the moment, and it's not my end I'm sure because all my other sites are flashing up quick as a flash....hmmm...well, you know what I mean...I'll have to learn to sit patiently while it takes at least two mins to load a page and tell myself it's good for the soul...hmmm...only not sure we have such things if I don't believe in a god anymore...okay, good for the spirit...character building and all that...that's the positive outlook on it...the negative is it's a frigging pain in the butt...HLOL...so, my lovely friends, I'm packing up for the night and hope you have a restful one, have sweet dreams and I send you all great big hugs in the meantime....

Hi to everybody...is it my end or BCUK's but it's loading so slowly these last couple of days I'm growing old waiting for it, particularly friend's posts?
It keeps saying 'stopped' at the bottom and I have to keep on clicking until it connects...
Hmmm...everything is working okay, just slowly...
Have a good evening and great big hugs to one and all... -
Warm and sunny
@ 24.06.2008 – 12:02:40
Hi to everybody....woke up this morning to a lovely, warm, sunny day with no wind to speak of and, of course, hubby goes back to work today...sod's law...
Forecast is for similar for a couple of days then changeable...he starts a week's holiday on Friday, so crossing fingers we might be able to go out for some day trips....
Been for the paper and there was a very interesting article in the Independent today on Mugabe's early years and how he got where he is today...it explains a great deal about his personality and what he went through as a young boy then as a teenager then as a man...it was a hard life to say the least...it might also explain the reluctance of the other African leaders to come down heavily on him...worth a read...

Monday morning
@ 23.06.2008 – 12:38:57
Hi to everybody...had a good night's sleep and woke up to listen to Start the Week, which covered an interesting array of subjects from Racism to Israel and the German Jews to beautiful experiments in science. Unfortunately, I've got a bad stomach again today...got stressed by a comment made in one our groups, but that's me being stupid...shouldn't get angry about somebody else's point of view, but, in this case, I did, and have said so...
Have been shopping this morning and discovered it was very warm and I was wearing too much...LOL...never know what to wear in this changeable weather. It's actually a very pleasant temperature today but looks as if we might get some showers at some point...the garden needs it so hope it will be later on in the evening...
Have discovered that our birds in the garden are throwing out all the larger seeds that they can't eat, which make up quite a large part of the bags sold now...hmmm...real waste so will have to rethink how we resolve that as we've just purchased a huge bag for them...LOL...
That's it for now...hope you have a good day, are having some sunshine, even if most of you are at work, and send great big hugs to one and all in the meantime.... -
Sun!!
@ 22.06.2008 – 11:56:43
Hi to everybody...we have sun at last...true, there's a few clouds and a strong warmish wind, but we actually have some sun at last...
Had a good night, and did our usual Sunday morning thing...then walked round for the paper...we turned the corner at the top of our road and found such a blast of wind whirling around it that we could all but lie on it...was most strange, because, once past it, the wind dropped and it was a lovely walk the rest of the way...
Now we're relaxing and reading the papers and I've done the crossword...easy one today...LOL...have done the washing as well so the rest of the day is ours...
Hope you have some sun to cheer you up as well and have a good relaxed Sunday...great big hugs to one and all in the meantime... -
Doctor Who
@ 21.06.2008 – 19:31:41
Hi to everybody...oooh....that was a good Doctor Who...won't spoil it for anybody who hasn't seen it yet, but a bit different from usual...

Apart from last week's odd one, they've all been excellent and the next one looks interesting as well...stroke of genius on the part of BBC to keep on with the Doc...about the only good decision they've made recently because most of what's on it now isn't worth watching...
Have a good evening everybody, and great big hugs to one and all... -

Saturday
@ 21.06.2008 – 13:11:34
Hi to everybody...had a good night...woke up to clouds and the threat of rain after it poured in the night...discovered we'd run out of bird seed yesterday and watched our birds that frequent the two seed containers every day desperately scrabbling for the last few seeds at the bottom of both...hmmm...it made hubby go to Tescos on his way home from work this morning and pick up some seeds, which he did and refilled the containers at 6.30...when we got up there was a flock of sparrows busily feeding from both...I think they've taught their fledglings to eat from ours which is a bit worrying if we ever have to go away for any length of time...I'm sure there are other people supplying food, but most seems to be peanuts and not seed...anyway, it was lovely to see them all back...
Went round this morning and bought a huge 20 kilo bag of mixed seed from the Range so we definitely won't run out for ages now...HLOL...plus four bags of chocolate raisins for my occasional evening treats and kitchen sponges...
Hubby lugged the shopping home in the trolley while I carried on and went round for the paper which was in the opposite direction...now we've had our coffee, me a ciggie, I've done the quick crossword and are about to go and have lunch...
Hope you all have a relaxed weekend, that the weather will brighten up for you and send great big hugs to one and all.... -
Seriously bad behaviour

Marines Disciplined for Tossing Puppy
The Marine Corps announced it was expelling one Marine and disciplining another for their roles in a video showing a Marine throwing a puppy off a cliff while on patrol in Iraq. Over 12,000 Care2 members signed a petition to speak out against this awful act of animal cruelty.

Another day
@ 20.06.2008 – 12:20:46
Hi to everybody...had a good night's sleep with only one or two brief interruptions...and no dreams...
Cloudy but warm this morning, and have been round for the paper with hubby...he said today, he loved our walks together and our chats as we stroll along...I do too...we are at our best together when we walk and talk...discussing all sorts of things from profound to joking and punning and laughing about ourselves and life in general...
Nearly the weekend and he can get some proper sleep again...does need to catch up on it after only having an average of under six hours for four days of every week...the change in the hours last year has thrown everything out by two hours and it's very tiring on him...
Nothing planned for today except to do my posts, read my friends' posts and to have a practice on my keyboard, which I'm not trying to do at least four or five days a week...would love to learn more but don't seem to be able to get beyond the actual practice included in the software...it is very helpful and without it I'd be lost, and also enjoy it very much too...oh, well, will never be a very good pianist, but too late for that I guess...LOL...
That's it for now, hope you have a good day, will get a bit of sunshine, and great big hugs to one and all... -
I'm totally floored
@ 19.06.2008 – 11:05:26
Hi to everybody...this morning I can't stop crying...something happened to me that has left me completely floored and utterly confused...yesterday in the late afternoon, I had a sudden urge to go and find Hunter Carson on the computer to see if I could find a picture of him because he starred in 'Paris, Texas'. I found a small one but that was it and left it that there were still no clear images of him. I went and watched a film I had recorded the night before and then just pottered until it was time to go to bed, and after reading for half an hour, I went to sleep.
I don't usually have vivid dreams but I did last night...I dreamt I was pregnant and I was carrying the baby all out the front, because I had to carry both my children very far forward because there was no room inside my body with the curvature of the spine. I dreamt I gave birth to this beautiful little boy and recognized him as Matthew, our son who died, and then he changed into a smiling Buddha child...not long afterwards, I had the intense sensation that Matthew was standing there with me...he was so real, I could reach out and hold him, which I did and embraced him and told him I loved him, and then the dream was over.
When I got up in the morning, I related my dream to Ray and he said 'What was yesterday's date?'...And I was utterly floored...it was June 18th, our son's anniversary of his death, and, for the first time since he died, I had completely forgotten about it...
The only conclusion I could come to was he tried to remind me by getting me to look for Hunter Carson...the reason being was that 'Paris, Texas' came out the year he died, and Hunter Carson was his absolute double...it was like watching our son throughout the film and it stunned both Ray and I when we saw him...I still didn't make the connection so my second conclusion has to be that he reminded me in a dream then came to me and embraced me as if to tell me he was still here...
When Ray reminded me of what day it was yesterday, I just broke out into floods of tears from guilt that I'd actually forgotten it, but also because it appears Matthew had not let me forget it...
I have no idea now what to make of this incredible experience...I've told myself that life ends in death, but today, I don't know that for certain...my son came to me, I know that...he made an effort to remind me, I know that now, and when that failed, he sent me a dream then he came as such a powerful presence I could wrap my arms around him and tell him how much I loved him...this has truly floored me...
I'm just wandering around in a daze this morning and can't stop crying because it is both wonderful, beautiful, and very disturbing to say the least...
I can't say anymore today, except to send great big hugs to one and all... -
Damn it's cold
@ 18.06.2008 – 22:59:54
Hi to everybody...I've just heard on the news about the possibility of gas and electricity rising by forty per cent by the winter...wonderful! Also for the last three nights, it's been really chilly in the house and we've got insulation and double glazing...I'm walking around in a thermal vest, a cashmere jumper - TKMax bargain..LOL - and on top of that a thick sweater and I'm still feeling chilly...even had the heating on for an hour and it's bloody June!! I hate the cold...
Hope you all have a warm, restful night, sweet dreams and great big hugs to one and all... -
Cloudy and rain
@ 18.06.2008 – 12:20:17
Hi to everybody...had a good night's sleep and woke up to black clouds, wind and later on, rain...hmmm...nice June weather...hubby went round for the paper while I got dressed and pottered until he came home...
As it's his work days, we don't do anything exciting...HLOL...well, we don't quite often but then life isn't full of such things, is it...generally most of us follow a routine and have little choice about it...maybe when he's retired we can do more, but, until that happens, our routine continues unabated...and of course, the perishing weather plays a big part in what we decide to do...the fact that this year is approaching the half way mark, I find damned scary...time flies by now so quickly, it's just seems as if xmas comes then it's the next one before we've had time to take a breath...hmmm...how to slow time down?
That's it, my lovely friends, hope you have a good day, are having some sunshine, and great big hugs to one and all in the meantime... -
