Hi to everybody...I've just been a suckered idiot...keep getting letters telling me I've unclaimed prizes waiting for me and the list of them looked pretty good...didn't turn the letter over to read the back and would have seen that there are 10000 prizes of a Greek cruise for seven days for two...I won that after a £6 phone call...sounds okay until you realise that you've got to get to bloody Greece to get to the port to pick up the cruise ship!!! Hmmm....never again will I be so damned stupid...usually send off stamped addressed envelope if I think I might want one of them and get my claim number but this one closes at the end of August...last one was a holiday for two somewhere impossible to use...oh, well, we live and learn...silly, silly me...

Usually, what you win was worth less than the phone call you made to claim the prize.
I remember reading one where the prize was a DVD. I didn't notice it didn't say DVD //player//, and I read and re-read it. Eventually, I asked Himself to read it, and he hit it straight away.-

I wasn't going to do anything about the darn thing, but hubby pushed me to do in case it was the big prize...hmmm...should have listened to my own instincts to steer well clear...oh, well it's a bloody day for losing money it seems...three times in one day's a bit much...LOL...GBHs...XX

Whoops. Those letters are so carefully and cleverly worded that they will continue to keep fooling people. I really think it's about time the law was changed to make them be more up-front about the catches. The information is on there, but often small and well-hidden.
