Hi to everybody...did something we haven't done for a long time...woke up at 10.30 this morning...hubby came in with a cup of tea and told me the time...I turned out the light at 1, had a short coughing fit at 4 and then next thing I know is him coming in and telling me the time...we both must have needed it...![]()
No rain today but overcast with a bit of blue showing through...no walk again today...far too late now...![]()
With the morning gone, it's nearly time for lunch, and that new bread is lovely and light by the way so will be sticking to this recipe from now on...does though need a bit of a stronger kneading than the video suggests when knocking the bubbles out...my loaves are like baguette bread but staying fresh for longer...![]()
Nothing else to tell you so hope you're all having a good day so far, are seeing some sunshine and send great big hugs to one and all...

It was a big surprise...but then hubby didn't go to bed until 6.30 but his sleep was broken up more than mine...then he finally woke up 10.30 and now must be back in bed by 2.30 for work at 6.30 today...

I don't know how Ray manages having to split his sleep in half like that! I'd be like a Zombie all the time if I had to do that

I don't know either but years of practice has made him able to fall asleep quickly wherever he is...during his break at work after he's had a sandwich or a meal, he tells himself he can sleep for half an hour and does then wakes up and goes back to work...
It's why he wants to retire because he's beginning to feel very tired after four nights, two of which are twelve hours long and his legs ache at the end of them...no sign of the redundancy letter at all and no news coming out of the PO about them...bloody stupid but can't do a thing about it...GBHs...XXX-

I really feel for you both - it must be a nightmare to be kept hanging for so long! GBH's XXX

Oh, we've both just put it to the back of our minds and, if nothing comes of it, we'll just have to carry on for another 35 months...that's all he's got left before he retires officially...just hope I'll be still able to do what I can now by then...
And him for that matter...
Certainly won't be old either of us, but life has a habit of not turning out as expected so take nothing for granted anymore...GBHs...XXX-
