http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00nm9s6

So, that's my morning news...should have been up by 9, but got up at 10...have to get washed and dressed and wash my hair too, do the washing, make the bread, and turn the living room carpet because noticed yesterday evening that the spot where I've sat for the last ten years, my slippers are beginning to take the pile off the area so a turn around is required...
That's it...hope you all have a good day, will see some sunshine and stay warm, and send great big hugs to one and all...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00nm5wp

So, now I'm sorted, the rest of the day will be one of doing our own thing and relaxing...
I hope you all have a great day, will see some sunshine, and send great big hugs to one and all in the meantime...

And, is BCUK going to give us a chance to replace our overly long tags with appropriate ones, with an explanation of how they work for those like me, who need to be told...only take nearly four years for me to learn what a tag actually is, but still not entirely sure how they work...
Have a lovely day, and great big hugs to one and all...

Irish novelist, John Boyne, wrote it as a children's book, and it seems to both of us, it is a very bad book to give to children because such an unreal picture of a concentration camp, or in this case, a death camp...if you're going to write a book about that period, it would be much better to portray the characters much more realistically, and the ending is impossible as the little German boy could never have ended up where he did.
So, a disappointing evening's entertainment, and one that I wish we hadn't bothered to watch. Ah, well...can't win 'em all, but this is one film that shouldn't be shown to children because totally unreal...
Hope you have a good night, sweet dreams and send great big hugs to one and all...

So, the brain seems to be working again...even if way out, the ideas do have some semblance of a possible reality in my mind...
So, that's it for now, have had a coffee and half a ciggie and no cough now... Feeling pretty good all round now, especially with all the exercise we're getting on the Wii...I hope you all have a lovely weekend, are seeing some sunshine and send great big hugs to one and all...

So much better than traipsing round a golf course in the pouring rain... And great fun too...
Now it's dinner time in an hour or so and then the evening is ours to do whatever we want...Hope you're having a good day, won't get too wet if you have to go out in this awful weather and send great big hugs to one and all...

 Comments

Just made it.

Hi to everybody...had an excellent night and woke up to grey and much colder weather today...hubby brought me a cup of tea at 9 and then nuggled up with me for another hour...LOL...neither of us wanted to get out of my lovely cosy bed, but needs must so we got up had breakfast, and this morning I needed to make coleslaw, but discovered I'd run out of my supply of mayonnaise, so quick change of plan...
It was a trip to Lidl's first...were lucky enough to catch the bus which took us down the road right outside it so cut the time by ten minutes...went for mayonnaise and spent over £20 in there on a whole load of other things we will use over the next week...LOL...and I bought myself a couple of bunches of ornamental brassicas because they looked really pretty and they're now in the conservatory...and the ten bottles of mayonnaise are in the garage...LOL...well it was Helman's reduced to a £1 a jar so as I'm making coleslaw every five or so days, and use half a jar each time, it was well worth stocking up...
So, now the coleslaw is made, we've had our coffee, put away the rest of the shopping and the rest of the day is ours...also I forgot to tell you...there are birds eating the seeds and the fat balls in our garden but we never see them!...Don't know when they come down but I had to replace one fat ball completely yesterday and it's not a squirrel because they tear the green plastic netting around them to pieces...definitely birds...must come very early in the morning...probably before the cat is out...hmmm...glad they're eating them now but disappointed we can't see them anymore...
And, that's it for now, my lovely friends, I hope you have a lovely day, will see some sunshine, and send great big hugs to one and all...

They go on forever...damn it...I really hope they sort this out...now I'm pissed off too...LOL...sorry it took me a while to cotton on to what they have done!
Hmmm...what on earth were they thinking???

Thanks to all here who have objected strongly...

I can't imagine why they keep having to dig the same piece of road up three times, but who delves into the mysteries of British road diggers...LOL...
It's a really beautiful day again which explains the title of this post...so lovely to wake up to blue skies, soft clouds and sun...now there is that touch of Autumn in the air but the conservatory can still manage 55 degrees at 9 so no where near frosty in the morning...
One thing I forgot to tell you...for those of you who have been here with me for a long time, we used to have a lovely little cat called Whisky that belonged to a young couple down our road opposite us and we got to know him from a tiny kitten and then about two years ago now, the couple moved and for many months and even occasionally now, Whisky would visit here from his new home over a mile and a half away...well, in the last week we've found that there's another little kitten who is extremely friendly and who comes running over to us for loves whenever we pass it by...it's black and white like Whisky but this one is spotted like a dalmation...mostly white with black patches and very, very sweet...if it survives the road outside the estate which is ran straight into yesterday when following us, we've found another friend...LOL...Must find out its name and whether or not its male or female...
Today, is a special day...my hubby has shaved his beard and moustache off for only about the third time since we've been together...and I can't stop laughing...without it, he has the funniest face...a real jokers face...and is like our son who died...he's standing in the shower room now throwing out jokes nineteen to the dozen with his new face and I can't see to type with crying with laughter...he has a Nigerian voice which finishes me off every time he uses it...I'll put a pic up of him when I decide whether I can live with this new hubby... He's knocked years off himself that's for sure...but he's lost his gravitas now and it's a bit awkward when every time you look at your husband you fall about laughing...
Anyway, that's our morning so far...hope you have a lovely day, will see some sunshine and send great big hugs to one and all...

That's outrageous...it isn't clear at all on their website...she said it doesn't say it in words!!! What...I asked how the hell was I supposed to know that then if not written in words...anyway, the long and the short of it is, no free postage on One Click and no refund for me because I used it...Bloody Amazon knows they've got their customers over a barrel because you can't say you won't use them again as their books are the cheapest around...but, this is a big CON...so watch out for it if you ever buy books from them...Here's their customer services number...I'd advise you to write it down because you'll never find it on the website...0800 4961081
Great big hugs to one and all...

I could have bought it from another seller cheaper if I'd known Amazon was going to pull that fast one on me...I'm bloody angry with them...So, anybody here tempted to use the One Click facility where Postage is said to be free...DON'T...because you'll be charged first class postage...
Hope you're all have a good afternoon...and send great big hugs to one and all...

Now, we're just enjoying seeing sunshine back again and the rest of the day is ours to do with what we like...playing on the Wii this afternoon is a definite, but the rest of the day is just doing our own thing...
If I eat all that huge cake, my weight loss through all the exercises we've been doing will go right out of the window...LOL...Ray's not keen on xmas cake, but might try and persuade him to share this one with me as I took the trouble and considerable expense to cook it...
That's it...my news is up to date now and it's trying hard to sunshine now as well... Great big hugs to one and all...

hmmm...nothing on for today, apart from our daily exercise and fun on the Wii...
So, my lovely friends, a rather tedious post today but hope you all have a very good day, will see some sunshine and send great big hugs to one and all...

So, my lovely friends, I hope you've all had a good Monday, and will have a relaxed evening...sending you all great big hugs in the meantime...

Apart from that, it's a beautiful day...much cooler but a really lovely Autumn day...had breakfast and went round to Lidl's for our meats for the winter and discovered they'd been in for the weekend as well so missed the ostrich steaks until they get more in...never mind...got everything else...and bought two double amaryllis for £5 so some colour for the winter in the conservatory...LOL...don't usually buy them but they do make a big splash of colour and my orchid is sending up a new shoot so that should be ready for xmas too...
Now, we're home, have had coffee and were wondering whether to do the rest of the shopping today in Poole, but that will be very tiring to do two big shops...we'll see...unfortunately, today is a one off apparently...the rest of the week is going to be very unsettled...hate going shopping in the rain, but don't think we're desperate for anything on the list...
So that's it for now...hope you all have a lovely day, will see some sunshine and send great big hugs to one and all...

After breakfast, we just pottered for a while then we had a cup of coffee and I decided to do my Wii fitness work out...you can only do it once a day and yesterday I did after playing golf and bowls for an hour and a bit so quite tired and got Wii age 54...today, not tired, I got Wii age 38 on the fitness scale!! Well pleased with that...HLOL...getting younger by the day... Hubby's doing it now...
Now, I'm still not dressed...feeling lazy again...grey today but very, very mild...was 60 degrees in the conservatory at 5.30 this morning! Will have our exercise on the Wii this afternoon and, apart from that, neither of us are doing anything pertaining to work today...except I've got to make some more coleslaw as we ran out yesterday...LOL...very hard work indeed...actually grating carrots does make my wrist ache...HLOL...
That's it for now...hope you all have a lovely day, are seeing some sunshine and send great big hugs to one and all in the meantime...

So, my lovely friends, nothing really else to tell you except I hope you all have a good day, will see some sunshine and send great big hugs to one and all in the meantime...

(October 30, 1894, Paris - September 4, 1977) was a French biologist and philosopher.

Got up at 9.50 to try to catch up on some lost sleep without success...LOL...had a whole load of thoughts going through my head about the hypocrisy of the West and the reduction in our personal freedom, which has nothing whatsoever to do with anti-terrorism, but just a slow and steady removal of our freedom...not thoughts that induce sleep...HLOL...discovered, when we got up, that it was a true Indian Summer's day...64 degrees in the porch and lovely and warm outside when we had breakfast and went shopping at Lidl's...the back door is now wide open and the house is as warm as toast...
So, apart from coughing and not sleeping well last night, all is well here... Hope you're having a good day, are seeing some sunshine and send great big hugs to one and all...
